Kun-Yii Tu, LAc, DiplOM.

Kun-Yii is a licensed acupuncturist and board certified herbalist in New Jersey where he has lived for the past 24 years. He received his Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), New York. In addition to his formal education at PCOM, he has been traveling yearly for almost a decade to Tianjin, China, to study traditional Chinese medicine.

Prior to his acupuncture career, Kun-Yii was a researcher at Bell-Labs, NJ, where he worked for nineteen years. He holds a PhD degree from NYU Tendon School of Engineering and a MS degree from Northwestern University. He also taught Chinese martial arts in Summit and Califon, NJ for over ten years. Kun-Yii enjoys this dual path of scholarship and warriorship, which keep in balance the various aspects of his life. However, since he was young, he was always intrigued by Chinese medicine and was deeply impressed by the Chinese medicine doctor who healed and mentored him during his high school years. After a long period of pursuing martial arts and Chinese medicine with a tremendous amount of energy and dedication, practicing this medicine professionally seemed to be a natural progression.

Kun-Yii loves to improve people's life quality through martial art training and Chinese medicine. It is especially fulfilling during his acupuncture treatments when he sees patients experience instant pain relief. He is grateful to be part of the healing community and to be able to do what he loves while helping others.
